Defend the Faith Biblical Challenge:
Rules of the Game

Rick Herrick is offering $100 for the discovery of any biblical passage  used improperly as supporting evidence in his book. There are no tricks with this offer; however, there are four rules that apply to the challenge. First, the author will only pay for scriptural evidence he uses incorrectly. He will not pay for evidence that supports another viewpoint. Second, he will pay only one-time for the discovery of an improperly used passage. He cannot afford for someone to email his or her friends with the errant passage. Third, all biblical passages in the book are taken from the Jerusalem Bible. In the event of textual differences, the Jerusalem Bible will be the final authority regarding payment decisions. Finally, the challenge only applies to the second edition of The Case Against Evangelical Christianity (Charles River Press, December 2011). All questions relating to the challenge should be directed to the author (rherrick86@gmail.com.) and not to the publisher.

Short synopsis

The Case Against Evangelical Christianity is a hard-hitting attack against Christian fundamentalism. It seeks to disprove the Evangelical claim that the Bible is the in-errant word of God.
In addition to offering a thorough critique of Evangelical Christianity, this book presents material reconciling Darwin's theory of evolution with the Christian faith. It also explores new approaches to understanding revelation and redefines Christianity away from belief and toward a love that was central to the life and teachings of Jesus.
